Job Description

The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
• Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
• Direct, review and approve product designs and changes.
• Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred.
• 8-10 years experience required.

Job Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 8 – 10 years of experience.
• Degrees or certifications required: No degree required; however, the sponsor would prefer someone with a degree in business or related.
• Disqualifiers: Does not meet the requirements.
• Best vs. Average: This is a fast-paced role, need someone who can keep up with the pace. They need to be able to think outside of the box. They need someone with excellent communication skills (experience with presentations could indicate strong communication skills).
• Performance Indicators: Measured against the OKR, and meeting project deadlines.

1. Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
2. Minimum 8 years of experience communicating with stakeholders.
3. Minimum 8 years of program or project management experience.

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: The team manages everything from budget management to headcount tracking to managing what they call PCN to hire on. They manage the global hiring plans for around 50 different countries (however they do not create them). This is an office surface teams (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.).
• Key projects: Management of headcount, Power BI and supporting the teams function to identify the priorities, support the operations team.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: 1/3 ad hoc reporting needs, 1/3 update and create reports and 1/3 support the hiring motion.
